This kitchen became more that an exercise in function and neutral colours, the client was equipped with snippets and torn pages of various inspirations to create an extensive mood board of the dream kitchen.
Texture was created through utilizing recycled Vgroove timber paneled doors and drawer fronts and corner posts charged with natural splits and character. The overheads and bank of ovens and fridge frame the careful positioning of a frameless sliding window bringing the outside in. Even the broom cupboard can be removed if the fridge is replaced by a bigger model one day. This is complimented by the natural cast concrete benchtop that will weather with time developing its own natural petina. A sliding door with blackboard paint hides the extensive scullery pantry and benchtop appliances with their own little bifold door primed ready for a quick cuppa...
